Hey there. How are you? Thanks for pressing play. I've got an awesome conversation with

award-winning best-selling author, political analyst, documentary filmmaker, columnist,

television producer, radio host, Jonathan Alter joining me on today's show. You are going

to love it. But as I said yesterday, and I'll be saying all week, taking a little bit lighter

schedule this week, posting tons of interviews and lots of content, but not spending the

two to five hours that I do on the opening news segment this week, because it is, well,

a different kind of week. Tonight, my daughter graduated high school. That's right, Ava. 18

years old, graduated from high school, she is now in a few weeks off to camp where she's

a counselor for a month along with her sister, which was going to be great for them, and then

it's off to Instacacolage for Ava. But we've come to the end of our time here, and it is

crazy. It's nobody told me that she was going to grow up, and then she was going to move

out and want to go to college. None of you told me that. No one told me that this was going

to go by so fast. I'm kidding. People told me that was kind of things every day. And I'm

real proud of Ava, of course, for everything that she's accomplished in her life, and I'm

sure everything else that she will accomplish, but I'm also feeling real good about us and

personally, I stayed the moment. I was right here the whole time, Ava. I tried not to spend

too much time longing for the past when you were little, and I was carrying you in a baby

Bjorn on the upper west side of Manhattan. And I certainly don't want to spend too much

time thinking about the future, because Keto, all we got is right here right now. And nothing

of my life makes me prouder than to be your dad. So there you go. You've graduated high

school. Apparently, you're going to be moving out. And I am looking for advice for everybody

listening as to how the hell I'm supposed to have a life without you. So many of you have
