The first sign we're going to talk about is separation anxiety.

Now remember, separation anxiety is a very normal

developmental event. However, children who have excessive separation anxiety, who are unable to be

consoled, unable to be calmed down when their parents drop them off at school, for example,

may be struggling with something that's a little bit more than your typical separation anxiety.

So ensure they're safe. If children don't want to separate from their primary caregiver,

sometimes it means they're afraid in their current situation.
