This week on the podcast, the US midterms, the Grenfell Effigy, and the problem with killing

And last night the Republican Party defied history to expand our Senate majority and we saw the candidates that I supported

achieve tremendous success last night.

To those that dynamic diverse incredible candidates. So the

midterms are in, the Democrats regain the House while the Republicans strengthen their grip on the Senate.

Despite no obvious blue wave or Trump button, the Republicans their grip on the Senate.

Despite no obvious blue wave or Trump bump, both sides are claiming victory.

Tom, who's right to say they won this?

Neither is probably the cleanest way to talk about it. As you say both sides have already

declared victory on the basis of the fact that the Democrats have projected to take about 28 seats at

least in the House. The Republicans have strengthened their majority in the Senate,

expect to go up from 51 to 54.
