I'm Levy Dalton and this is all drink to that where we get behind the scenes of the wine business. Oh, While I was out in California recently I recorded some interviews on the go with the

travel mic and these aren't in the studio so the conditions are a little bit

different before we get into today's these aren't in the studio so the conditions are a little bit different.

Before we get into today's interview with Tegan- Pascal-Aqua of Turley wine

sellers and also he's a wine grower in Lodi, I just wanted to mention that the

recording may sound a little bit different than the

normal quality.

How did you end up on the wine thing?

Well I graduated from college from Sacramento State, so kind of the state school that's close to UC Davis

that doesn't have a wine program.

And I, my bachelor's degree is actually in public health, and I moved home, inspiring to be a social worker and an

educator and a friend told me about an internship at a winery that required one

year of organic chemistry and one year of microbiology, which I had.

So since I didn't have a job, it was the summer after I graduated, I took that lab job.

And about two months into that job I kind of was bitten by the

wine bug as people say. Where did that lead you? Well that led me to another

winery called Napa Wine Company, which at the time was kind of the custom

crushed place in the Napa Valley.

And I was lucky enough to work with 30 of the top winemakers every day and working in the lab they had a lot of

questions and they needed a lot of favors that you know we could perform for them so

that led me there and I kind of came to a point that I was

finished working doing lab work and I wanted to work in the cellar and a friend of
