Derek and Kate took a seven-night cruise on the MSC, Urebia, out of Southampton last year, and they joined us on the line to chat about it. How are you? Hi, Doug. How are you? Hi, Doug. Now, I remember when the ship was first coming out, I was following the construction progress and they had that big mural that painting on the side of the ship like the i guess

did it live up to the hype? You know what? I really liked it. It's different than being that

great white obelisk parked in the harbor. I thought it was quite fun, and I think it's maybe a bit of a

nod towards MSC going into that family market a little bit more, definitely aiming at that.

It looks like a big fun ship with the slides, Waters Park off the back of it as well.

It looks really nice.

What made y'all want to sail this seven-nighter on MSC with it being your first time and all? Honestly, it had been a few

months since we had been on a cruise. I'd been pretty flat out with work and I was just, I was

working in a pretty cold south of England and I found this deal come up and did a bit more research and message Kate and got permission to book it.

He basically told me how much it was, and I said, yeah, that's a good deal. Let's do it.

Did you take advantage of their status match program and kind of leapfrog over certain levels since it was your first time you walk or didn't

be like, oh look, I'm this status instead of entry level. Yeah, absolutely. And I actually heard one of

your podcast before and they said it took a while and I think you experienced that as well. For me,

it took three days for Kate. Probably about five days. It wasn't much difference. Yeah, so we
