Scott just returned from a 10-night cruise aboard Norwegian Pearl, a little different itinerary for this time of year. It was a 10-night med cruise going from Trieste, Italy, down around the boot, and it ended in Rome. He joins us on the line to talk about it. How you doing, Scott? I'm good. Thanks for having me. Certainly. Have so many questions here.

I want to kick things off, though, asking, is the temperature the same? You're in the Manhattan area. Is the temp the same in the med this time of year as New York? Yeah, roughly. It was like the perfect time to go, I think. It's not as crowded as it is in the summer. So the ports are a little bit emptier, but it's also not freezing. I've done Europe in the winter before, and it can be very snowy and cold, but the Mediterranean,

it's a little bit more south, so it's, it was the perfect weather to be there. We were pretty

comfortable. There were a couple of days that were even warmer than expected, where we were just in

1:09.7

shorts, but most days,

like a sweatshirt or a light jacket was fine. Which leads into my next question, like taking a step

back before we get to Pearl, what made you want to take this 10-nighter in the Mediterranean

in November? Yeah. We, I went with my friend. We were looking for something that had a little bit of like cruise and relaxing type of vacation mindset, as well as seeing some new things. I had spent quite a bit of time in Europe. I did some study abroad there while I was in college. But there were a couple of countries on the sitinary, Slovenia, Montenegro that I hadn't been to.

So it was kind of the mix of those two things that made us say, let's go with this one.

1:49.7

And the longest cruise we had ever done before was eight nights.

1:52.9

So the idea of 10 was exciting to a little nerve-wracking.

1:56.9

It's a long time on one ship, but it was exciting as well.

This cruise embarked at a Trieste, which is the cruise port for Venice at NCL uses these days at least.

2:07.5

Did you do any pre-cruz time before the sailing?

2:10.6

Yeah, so we flew in the night before to Venice, and then we got the airport shuttle to

2:16.7

from the airport of Venice to downtown Venice. It's like 20 minutes. It was really cheap and easy to get that. And then we booked a hotel about like a five minute walk from there because that's also right near the main train station. We got in like 7 p.m. So we went at dinner, walked around a little bit. We had both been to Venice before, so we weren't doing a whole lot of touring, but just explored a little bit. And then in the morning, we kind of got up, did a little bit more walking around, exploring, and then we got a train from the main train station in Venice. I think it was like a 12 o'clock train. It took about two hours. We got on board. It was almost
