A review of Carnival Valor this week from Eric, a quick little cruise down the mighty

Mississippi over to Cozumel and back.

And as always, staff writer Richard Sims is here with Cruise News. Hey, Richard.

Hey, Doug. Kicking things off with a story that went from bizarre to tragic on one cruise ship on the

west coast. Yeah, there are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding this one, Doug. But here's

what we know. A 35-year-old man named Michael Virgil was sailing on Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas.

Only an hour or two after the ship left San Pedro, the man was caught on video picking a door with his steel-toed-toed boots and yelling profanities and racial slurs at a crew member who basically sought shelter in one of those crew areas where they keep like the linens and stuff, basically a kind of glorified towel closet.

This was all caught on film by someone else that he was apparently chasing as well and it got on the news.

But it gets even stranger because about and they did eventually subdue the guy. But it gets even stranger because about, and they did eventually subdue the guy,

they, you know, were able to restrain him. And then about an hour later, he died. His family

members are saying both that he was an incredibly nice man and that this is not like him at all,
