Hey, everybody. We've got a fun one today, you know, for a change. Heidi Hyde

Camp is with me. We recorded this on Tuesday afternoon, a week after the election. Trump, of course,

was scheduled to speak later that evening. And in this, you'll hear Heidi takes a bold stab at what Trump is going to say. She said it was going to be him doubling down on the 2020 election being stolen. It was going to be all fiery grievances, she said, because that's what he does.

But Heidi was completely wrong.

And, man, he really should have called her for advice.

First of all, the speech was a mess.

It's a very odd combo of a written speech laying out his tremendous achievements

as president, how strong the nation was under him, and then what a piece of shit it's become

in the short two years since Biden's been there, with a mishmash of riffing about his grievances, back to the written text,

back to him free associating.

And it was just a mess.

Fox cut away from the speech.

People in the audience there, Margalago, just started leaving, and he had to sweep up,

which is a bad look. Now, as you listen to this, you'll get right away that Heidi and I enjoy each

other very much. I really love Heidi. And I want to mention something that I don't really talk about

here on the show,

which is my resignation. Now, I had 36 of my Democratic colleagues demand that I resign,

nine since then have acknowledged publicly that they realized that that was a mistake that

I deserved due process. And I really appreciated that. And Heidi is one of those.

And I've had a number of them on the podcast, John Tester, Tammy Duckworth, Sheldon Whitehouse,

and Heidi now for the second time. And sometimes folks will write in and say, you shouldn't have them on.

But that's why.
