probably already knew that. I want to talk to you today about sort of combining Western Eastern medicine and spirituality.

I did a fascinating interview that's on the show today with Dr. Christian

Northrop and we're talking about her new book and those of you who know Dr. Northrop

you probably know her as a Western trained OBGYN a physician a surgeon who she's

really been offering women effective alternatives to drugs and surgery for decades and really working to help people think about their

health and their bodies in a more empowered way. But now she's come out. It's almost

like she's coming out of the spiritual closet

because now this book really brings in the whole spiritual

and a more mystical element.

And I've known Chris for years. I'm good friends with her daughter Kate and her daughter Annie.

Actually I was just away with her about a week ago. Two weeks ago we went.

Jessica Ortner got married and we all were in Mexico together and we were talking about this and I just find her so fascinating in my young life

Chris her books actually my mother had given me

Maybe it was the first book that she had given me, it was almost like an

owner manual to your body, right, and how to be empowered and all these things that I think it was

hard for my mother to teach me maybe because she didn't know them, but because Dr. Northrop really, she just

had this way of making it so accessible and making you feel very empowered in the process.
