As you all know, on the peripheral, I've covered people that have been through traumatic events,

mental health issues, addiction, and alternative lifestyles.

And I've definitely tried to cover lighter topics.

And today's episode, I would say, falls under alternative lifestyles.

I speak with Marcus, who is a sugar daddy.

Marcus has a podcast called Secrets of a Sugar Daddy and he talks very openly

and unapologetically about sugar dating or as he refers to it compensated dating.

And I learned a lot from this conversation. I had a lot of preconceived notions and ideas of what I thought

sugar daddies and sugar babies do. And I will say that I was mostly wrong. Here's Marcus.

So Marcus, very excited to have you on and speak with you. Normally I do lots of different topics on the show, but I would say, I don't know what do you want to call it. Alternative lifestyles is definitely something I like to cover too. And you have a podcast and cover something that I found very interesting.

So why don't you introduce yourself?

Well, I am Marcus, the number one sugar dating podcast in the world.

And we pull back the curtains on the good, the bad and the ugly and the shocking,

shocking sides of sugar dating, which is basically compensated dating for us old guys that

don't like swiping.

So I guess, you know, there's some definitions here.

I mean, somebody, you know, you said compensated dating and I just think, you know, there's, you know, somebody can pay for sex.

Somebody could hire an escort.

What is the difference?
