It's Nepos, and that's the last time I'm going to say an emperor's name that's not Augusta.

That makes no sense.

It's interesting that Augustus is the only emperor, along with Augustus,

has been in every single episode.

So I don't really need to do much of a recap since we've

literally just finished recording. So you'll remember and hopefully our listeners will just have

carried on listening. So Rickham is still alive. So yeah, Rickham is alive and he's just opened

the dog sanctuary. Yes. And Getter and Caracare have just fallen out. Yeah. And it's something to do with Detective Nerva. Yeah, he's just discovered why Pupiavus was the first called Pupaea. Yes. He turned up at the end of the last episode. He did. He did, so let's go back, shall we, and look at who he is? Nepos was born in around 4.30 under the rule of Valentinian III. Okay, he was good. Well, Aetius wasn't bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We have already come across Nepos's father. Nepos? Nepos, yes. Yeah. Although, to be fair, he's usually referred to as Nepetianus in the books. I just called him Nepos because that's what his son's called and it's clearly a shortening of nepotianus.

Well, at least so I thought.

But it's not.

Well, there's debate.

The other theory is that he's called nepos

because it's derived from the word nephew

and he was Marsalinas' nephew,

possibly that.

But then as his father was called nepotianus,
