That health really is, it's a lot like just metabolic health in general. It's really foundational

to everything because it's directly related to how well you're breaking down your food, how well

you're eliminating wastes and toxins, how well you're assimilating the good nutrients from your

system. So much of our inflammation and overall problems stem in the gut. That's where they start.

So if we have leaky gut or if we have gut infections or if we have other

inflammation going on in the gut, it's interfering with us being able to properly break down

those foods, properly absorb the nutrients. The bacteria are also really important for

signaling the immune system to fight off pathogens. And if we don't have a proper gut system, that doesn't happen.
