| 0:32.0 | So, you know, one of the things that's so interesting about you is you've had just so many amazing experiences in the wine world. |
| 0:39.0 | How did it start out? You were in Italy? |
| 0:42.0 | Well, the sort of the the real origin of the the beginning |
| 0:47.0 | beginning I would say would be that I always worked in the restaurant |
| 0:49.8 | business sort of growing up in high school and stuff waitressing I was in the kitchen a little bit |
| 0:54.8 | then I realized that the money's in the front of the house and true that you know and |
| 0:59.2 | there's no there at the time there was no glory in the back of the house either. I mean chefs were like |
| 1:04.0 | criminals. If you couldn't get a job you went to a kitchen. So that was sort of my background just sort of always wanting to have that experience |
| 1:16.1 | because it's so translatable no matter where you go you can always fall back on that kind of thing. |
| 1:20.3 | And then I spent a year in Italy studying, I studied art history, which doesn't prepare you for anything, |

| 1:34.1 | So, spent a year in Italy, after I graduated from college, |
| 1:37.9 | I went to work at the Guggenheim in Venice |
| 1:40.1 | as an intern and moved out west to ski for a few years came then went back to the |
| 1:48.1 | Guggenheim to do the Bienale because the Guggenheim in Venice owns the American Pavilion. |
| 1:54.0 | Oh, I didn't know that. |
| 1:55.5 | Which is the big art show. |
| 1:56.7 | Exactly. |
| 1:57.4 | Every other year, international art show where every country chooses an artist to highlight. So that was an amazing experience. |
