Hi everybody. Welcome to episode 84 of the Life Mentoring School podcast. I am delighted to be here. I have some really fun things to share with you, some funny things and some fun things. Our topic today is how you see. This is a really important topic because how you see the things all

around you determines how you experience your very own life. So it's really, really important.

But first, I want to tell you a funny story. So, um, Stevie and I have been on a quest to get healthier for a long time,

but we decided to sort of take it up another notch and hired some help to help us.

And part of, um, the help that we hired wanted us to get this special scale where it measures

your body fat and your percent bone density and muscle mass and all of that. So it also required

taking pictures. So Stevie is hilarious and he goes,

I guess there's no turning back now because we just sit some crazy pictures over the internet.

I'm like, yep.

So we got this scale in today.

And I have been doing CrossFit for like four years. I'm in pretty good shape for an

old lady, for a 51 year old lady, like pretty good shape. And when I first looked at my numbers and I

first stepped on the scale, I was like, well, first of all, that's like six pounds heavier than my scales.

And it was highly irritated because I don't like weighing in the afternoon, but we got the

scales in the afternoon. So we decided to do it. But I was like, I'm doing it in the morning.

I'm not even counting this time. So, but I got on there and I was disappointed. Like the numbers were not exactly what I thought

because once you see actual numbers, the numbers don't lie. But here's the thing. I've really

had to coach myself on the numbers because before I looked at the numbers, I would have said,

I'm so proud of myself. I do weight training every day.

I eat whole foods and take good care of myself.

I would have been, that would have been my story.

I look at the numbers and go, oh, I better, I got to do better.
