Now when I first started my investing journey, I started out probably how most people do it.

They listen to a traditional investing advice, you know, they get a financial advisor or even, you know, you start a new job and you just get a stock account.

You get a 401k, a retirement account account now they're even making it you know automatic so like if you get a job you know at Home Depot

as soon as you get that job boom you have you have a 401k plan, you don't even have a choice.

They just sign you up for the thing.

Because they just think people are too stupid, right?

They don't even want, and it's really, it helps them because of course those companies are making money off of it the whole process stinks right

But anyway that's how most people do it. That's how I did it you know set it and forget it. I'm going to be good to retirement.

I'm just going to invest in the stock market, stock-based retirement accounts.

Well, guess what? It really doesn't work.

Because today I want to unpack the paradigm of wealth building through stocks, the idea of having

a pile of money at the end of the rainbow rather than cash flow.

As an alternative method for investing, I like to look at the self-directed IRA.

And I'm going to share five major drawbacks today of investing in stocks and why using a self-directed IRA as opposed to those 401k, you know,

options in my opinion is going to allow you to come out on top every time.
