Hey, happy Thursday morning, everybody. Welcome back to the podcast. I feel like we've been podcasting for an hour, but we just flipped on the recorder.

Here we are. Back with the boss, man. If this is your first time listening to the program,

Some might think that you've heard all the stories, but I heard a great story before this podcast started. I think I'll just share

with the listeners, hear what happened. We're talking about the value of discipline, I believe,

or questioning authority. We're just talking about, you know, looking back to the times you got

fired and whether or not that was justified or not.

And believe it or not, Dan was working out a restaurant and he was so filled with good ideas.

Well, this is my reporting. You're not hearing the other side of the story. But I do think they were good ideas.

There were ideas. Here's the thing.

You were so filled with ideas, which hasn't changed in the time I've known you, still full of ideas.

But the manager of this restaurant basically got so tired of hearing all of your ideas that he had to let you go.

Yeah.

Well, last night I gave you a 15-minute monologue about how Van Halen became one of the biggest brands in America. And you said, the time you thought it might be worth a podcast episode. I don't know if you feel that way right now. Yeah, the guy basically fired me because he was tired. He was just tired. He said, look, dude, this isn't a spot for you. You got to leave now.

Most people get fired for poor performance. You got fired for overperformance. General annoyance,

I would say, would be the, yeah. I thought this breakfast spot could be great. And he was just like,

look, it's a breakfast spot. And you need to be out of it. Well, here you are, my friend. You have your very own show and you're adjacently getting paid for having ideas. Yes. Okay. Let's do it then. We've got some ideas about money. That's part of the reason we're in the business game. We want to make sure you make some money. We want to make sure we make some money. Let's all make some money.
