along side with David Sparks. Hey David. Hey Katie. And so today we're

going to talk about how you get all those ideas in your head out, right?

Sort of, sort of.

We've got a lot of email from listeners saying,

you guys need to do a show about mind mapping. And I'm all for mind mapping I think it's a great thing

but it kind of got me thinking how do I use mind mapping and I think I use it in some fairly standard and some fairly unique ways and it's been very successful for me

So I said let's just do a show where we explain how you put these tools to work and it started out as a brainstorming show.

Right because you're a big mind maper. I'm a really big outliner.

Yeah, well I do both and you're going to learn about that soon. But you know so I had

originally written it down in Omni Focus, you know, brainstorming show for Mac

power users, question mark, and then at some point it went into our show outline as brainstorming.

And then when I sat down and started outlining it I realized this

really isn't a brainstorming show I think that's kind of a loaded term and I don't

really like it anyway it's it I don't know it just doesn't sit right with me

but I do like the idea of cooking ideas and

using some of these technologies to make other stuff you do better.

I wrote an article about some of this stuff for Macworld,

but this show is going to be much deeper

and talking about this stuff kind of on a different level.

So we're going to call the show Cooking Ideas.

And what we're going to cover is mind mapping and outlining
