I know we're going to get into functional medicine. We're going to talk about regenerative agriculture.

We're going to talk about herbs versus drugs and so many other things. One of the things I'm

excited to get into today as well, though, is you have a program that really helps people

Talk to me today about functional medicine. When people use the word, when you say functional

medicine, what does that treatment look like for people? If somebody comes and sees you and you work

with them, I know everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to physicians, they come and see you. What is it

that you do with them as a functional medicine practitioner that's so different than mainstream

medicine today? So when I graduated from medical school, I came out with a lot of knowledge about

the different parts of the body. I learned a lot about the liver. I learned about the kidney

at the lungs, the intestines, and friends of mine became liver specialists. Some became kidney

specialists. Nobody taught us in medical school how all these organs are interconnected and are

part of a bigger system, which is the detoxification or what is called these days in functional medicine,
