Now, as you will know, folks, as you will know, the end of the last podcast was a start of a series that we're going to pursue in the next few podcasts about

the first Mrs. Parry, why did it never happen, okay?

And of course, regular listeners will have heard my explanation as to how my first love was

a lady called Trudy.

Unfortunately, it never worked out, down to my selfish or maybe ruthless and

determined decision that I wanted to pursue a career in journalism and that I felt much more able

to do that, much more able to do that, as a single man. Now, the irony of this is that we can now talk about

the first Mrs. Perry number two, okay? So

I tell you what happened there. That was quite interesting. I told you

already that I went away to a

journalist training course, right? So I go away to a journalist training course, right?

So I go away to the...

And by the way, one of the reasons I started this was to say to you that at the end of the last podcast, and I'll reiterate it now,

I believe there's probably been eight or nine women in my life who wanted to marry me.

Or maybe to be quite less egotistical.
