and that is that I decided once and for all to relate the issue of the first Mrs. Perry.

Okay, for many years when I was a radio broadcaster and I've become a radio and TV broadcaster,

I'm delighted to say. And of course,

I've worked in the print industry for a long time. Never got married along the way. And for many,

many years, people have said to me, you know, what happened? Where is the first Mrs. Parry?

So I've decided to start telling the tale. Those of you who are regular listeners, and I'm

delighted to say that that number is

increasing by the day, and, you know, the Porky Army is mounting up, and thank you very much indeed

for all your support. You've particularly latched on to these tales of where it all happened,

if it happened, when it happened, why it happened,

and then maybe in the end why it didn't happen. That's about me and my search for a partner in life.

Now, let's get now to the first Mrs. Parry three. We've had the first Mrs. Parry one and two. The reasons why that didn't work out.

Here's the third one, okay? We are now back in the newspaper world, and I have left Chester, where I was a reporter on the Chester Chronicle.

And even though I say it myself, a pretty outstanding reporter,

because I was only there 18 months before I was plucked from a weekly newspaper, the Chester Chronicle,

to an evening newspaper, the Newcastle Evening Chronicle. You'll have heard in the last chapter of

the first Mrs. Perry that I'd already been to Newcastle to train and they'd spotted

me up there on the training course which lasts for about six months and they'd always said if you ever
