Hello and welcome to the Feminist Don't Wear Pink podcast based on the book Feminist Don't Wear Pink and Other Life. I'm your

host Scarlett Curtis. I'm a writer, activist, proud feminist and curator of our book and host of

this podcast. Today's guest is a really exciting one. At the end of last year, I sat down with writer, director,

actress and artist, Lena Dunham, in her parents' New York apartment to talk feminism, politics,

public scandal, illness, drugs, bodies and much, much more.

I first met Lena when I was 18 years old and it's been a real honour to watch her career

over the last seven years. She's a brave, fascinating, ridiculously intelligent woman who's been

through more pain than anyone human deserves. And while she may have made some

mistakes over the years, as have we all, I know that I wouldn't be the feminist I am today if it

wasn't for her. Just to warn you, we recorded this on some slightly dodgy equipment that I bought

very much on the fly in Manhattan. So if the sound quality isn't quite right,
