President talked about doing a Google News search of his own name and being unhappy with

the news outlets that were turning up in that Google News search.

So today this afternoon we see more of the same kind of criticism from the president

saying that Google and Twitter and the others really ought to be careful in terms of what

they're doing.

The president raising the idea that they are somehow putting their thumb on the scale

ideologically.

Perhaps what we certainly live in an age in which there's growing awareness that the

tech giants are exerting influences on our lives beyond looking stuff up for us or beyond

connecting us with our old high school boyfriend, et cetera.

And to further the discussion, we're joined by Adam White, Research Fellow at the Hoover

Institution, Director of the Center for the Study of the Administrative State at George

Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School, where I would like to be right now studying

that very thing, but I'm a wage slave, like so many of our listeners instead.
