Not going to be on the ballot in Maine. I'm John Sossier Fox News, Maine Secretary of

State disqualifying former President Donald Trump for being on the state's primary

ballot. She accused him of participating in an insurrection

during the January 6th riot and trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Grady Turnbull from the Fox Business Network has more from Washington.

Main Secretary of State Shenabel, unilaterally made the decision to remove former

President Donald Trump from the state's primary ballot in her 34-page decision.

She says, I do not reach this conclusion lightly. I'm mindful

that no Secretary of State has ever deprived a presidential candidate of

ballot access based on section 3 of the 14th amendment. I'm also mindful, however, that no

presidential candidate has ever before engaged in insurrection. The Trump

campaign says it'll appeal the decision to Maine state courts.

And the former president faces several more disqualification cases and other states across the country.

Speaking of Maine, is seeing an all new humber, all new high number of homicides.

A lot of that suit of a mass shooting in Lewiston in October, the state usually doesn't

see many killings, but as of today, 51 homicides in Maine, of course, that number increased

drastically when 18 people were killed by an Army

Reservists in Lewis. In sharp contrast to the year 2000, when Maine first started compiling

the numbers, there were only 11 murders. In Ohio, Republican Governor Governor Mike DeWine vetoing a bill that would have restricted transgender

care for minors and transgender girls participation in school sports team.

He says this stops the state for making private decisions.
