consider the special counsel's request to waive former President Trump's claim of immunity

on charges they

plotted to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Special Counsel Jack Smith has made an emergency plea to the justices asking

them to rule on whether Donald Trump is immune from prosecution.

Smith petitioned the court earlier this afternoon asking for a quick decision.

The federal judge overseeing the case ruled the criminal trial involving alleged 2020 election interference can

proceed and that Donald Trump does not deserve a lifetime quote get out of

jail free pass and quote just because he was president.

Trump's attorneys say even a former president is immune

from criminal prosecution for actions

that fell within his White House duties while in office.

Trump's team has until next Wednesday to file a response.

Attorneys for a Texas woman seeking an abortion for health reasons say she has left

the state to get the procedure.

Attorneys have not revealed from which state their client, Kate Cox, will seek that care.

Cox, thought to be the first woman to seek a court's okay to have an abortion since the overturn of Row v. Wade has been told by a doctor

not having the procedure could lead to a miscarriage or affect her reproductive health.

A judge did grant her request but the Texas

Supreme Court with all conservative judges blocked that procedure.
