The Pentagon says 56 US.S. service members were wounded

with 25 experiencing traumatic brain injuries after strikes on U.S. military

forces in Iraq and Syria over the past few weeks.

Thousands of Americans deployed to the Middle East,

some 2,500 to Iraq and 900 in neighboring Syria.

Some 60 of those forces hurt in recent drone

in rocket attacks by Iranian-backed proxy forces.

The Pentagon says the nearly 60 troops hurt in those recent rocket and drone attacks

have returned to duty.

There have been 48 attacks on US forces in the Middle East since October 17th.

Six of those attacks have taken place since Wednesday when a pair of US Air Force

F-15 Strike Eagles hit a warehouse storing weapons used by Iran and its proxy forces in eastern Syria.

The Pentagon said it held rockets and drones used to attack US troops.
