On what would have been his 32nd birthday, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump.

A fearless warrior for liberty, beloved leader who galvanized the next generation like nobody

I've ever seen before and an American patriot of the deepest conviction.

The president has credited Kirk, who founded Turning Point USA, with rallying the youth vote to

conservative and Republican causes.

Kirk was shot and killed while holding an event at a Utah college campus last month.

This is the administration that revoked the visas of five foreigners deemed by the State Department

to have made negative comments about Charlie Kirk.

The foreigners are from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Paraguay, and South Africa.

They were not identified.

By a vote of 49 to 45, the Senate failed again to pass a short-term spending plan

that would end the government shutdown.

Earlier today, President Trump put the blame squarely on Democrats.

This was a position that's being forced upon us by Democrats. And all they have to do is just

selling a piece of paper saying, we're going to keep it going the way. There's nothing. It's not

like it shouldn't even be an argument. The shutdown is now in its third week. Republicans say

the bill is nonpartisan, while Democrats insist health care subsidies

that are due to expire be extended. The driver of the semi-trailer, following too close behind a van,

has been arrested on murder charges after a fiery crash. They killed three adults and five

children on a highway in Jackson County, Georgia yesterday afternoon.
