A somber meeting. I'm Lisa Lacerra, Fox News. President Trump sat down with family members of one of the hostages held by Hamas as negotiations to end the war continue.

President Trump welcomed the family of Omer New Trump, a dual U.S. Israeli citizen killed in Hamas captivity whose body remains in Gaza.

These are sensitive times as we all know and we are hoping to get good news soon.

Omar's father, Ronan Neutroub, a Long Island resident, told reporters following his meeting

with the president and administration officials the next two days will be pivotal.

We've been in this place before, this roller coaster of emotions, so we're trying to protect ourselves.

Israel and Hamas are negotiating with U.S. officials on a 20-point peace plan that would free remaining

hostages in the war and begin rebuilding a post-war Gaza government.

20 hostages are believed to be alive as Israel marks two years since the attack by Hamas.

Two years ago, we were in southern Israel as this massacre unfolded thousands of terrorists crossing the border from Gaza into southern Israel.

And at the time, they killed nearly 1,200 people taking more than 250

hostage.

About 200 members of the Texas National Guard have arrived in Illinois to assist federal

immigration agents.

They're very experienced and being able to back up the ICE agents and other federal

agents to make sure that they will be

able to execute the laws safely and effectively.

Texas, Governor Greg Abbott, the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago have sued to

stop the guard from deploying into Chicago, Governor J.B. Pritzker calling the move a power

grab by President Trump.
