A new week, same old shutdown. I'm John Sossier Fox News day number six of this government

shutdown and President Trump says negotiations have been taking place with Democrats who continue

to reject bills to reopen the government for their lack of an extension of over a trillion

dollars in affordable health care subsidies. We are speaking with the Democrats and some very good things could happen with respect to health care.

He didn't say he was speaking to Democratic leader specifically,

but when asked if he'd make a deal with Democrats regarding ACA benefits,

he said he would make a deal if it's the quote right deal,

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

We will sit down with anyone at any time and at any place, either here at the

Capitol or over at the White House, to reopen the government to enact a bipartisan spending

agreement that actually meets the needs of the American people. Republicans urging Democrats to

sign into their House pass clean resolution

to keep spending at current levels. Democrats, though, warning health care would become more

expensive if Affordable Care Act's tax credits expire. They also want to restore over one trillion

dollars in Medicaid funding. It was pulled from the so-called one big, beautiful bill.

The Trump administration facing multiple lawsuits to prevent National Guard

deployments in American cities. A federal judge is blocking President Trump from sending National Guard

troops to Portland in response to anti-ice protest in the city. You guys are framing this like

the president wants to take over the American cities with the military. Instead, White House

Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says the president intends to restore law

and order where local leaders have not.

These people are not there to peacefully protest.
