Simley Silicera, Fox News, President Biden's son Hunter charged by a federal grand jury

for purchasing a gun in 2018 weeks after his plea deal on tax and firearms charges collapsed.

Hunter Biden facing two false statement counts, which are felonies, also a third count of

possessing and owning a gun, another felony, according to the special counsel's office.

Back in 2018, Hunter Biden lied on a federal form to purchase a gun in Delaware when he

said that he was not addicted to any stimulant, narcotic drug, and any other controlled

substance.

When, in fact, he knew that statement was false.

The second charge is a false statement made to a person who worked for the gun shop in

Delaware.

The third is actually owning the gun when he unlawfully used illegal substances.

Fox's David Spunt of the Justice Department, if convicted, Hunter Biden could face up to

25 years in prison, under Biden's attorney issuing a statement reading a part.

We believe these charges are barred by the agreement the prosecutors made with Mr. Biden,

the recent rulings by several federal courts that has statute his unconstitutional and the

facts that he did not violate that law.

President Biden did not discuss his son's indictment while in Maryland this afternoon.

He stayed on message on his economic plan.
