Trump and Putin hit a snag before their meeting.

President Trump says he's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.

To talk about the war with the Ukraine, Fox is Madeline Rivera.

This meeting between President Trump and President Putin appears to be hitting some snags before it's even taken place.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is rejecting the idea that Ukraine would give up some of its land to Russia.

No one will retreat from this, and Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier.

Zelensky's remarks are notable, given that President Trump floated the idea that Russia and

Ukraine could swap territories.

There'll be some swapping of territories to the betterment of both.

But the Ukrainian Constitution mandates a national referendum for any territorial concessions,

meaning Zelensky can't unilaterally authorize any changes

over land. So we'll see how Zelensky's comment lands with the president.

Meanwhile, Putin rejects the idea of meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky.

Zelensky says peace negotiations should include him.
