travelers expected this 4th of July.

AAA says almost 71 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during the 4th of July holiday.

The busiest ever, a 5% increase from last year and an 8% increase from 2019.

Most of us traveling by car through the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded

according to AAA at 345.

Air travel also expected to set a new record with 5.4 million people flying to their 4th of July destinations.

That's up nearly 7% from 2023 at a 12% increase from pre- Pandemic levels.

A couple more days of higher than normal temperatures for the Midwest and northeast

before there is a break.
