Trump slams Iran's response. I'm Carmen Roberts. Fox News. President Trump blasted Tehran's response to the U.S. peace proposal, posting on social media that it's totally unacceptable. Fox's Alex Hogan has more from the White House.

The Iranians earlier said that they did issue that response in Senate through a Pakistani mediator.

The White House has received and reviewed this response, although, again, the administration

saying it's not at all what they had hoped for. Iranian state media report that Tehran's

proposal to end the war, stress the need for the U.S. to pay compensation for war damages,

and emphasized Iran's sovereignty over the

Strait of Hormuz. State Department spokesman Tommy Piggott tells Fox News the president prefers

a diplomatic solution, but will use military force if necessary. The Iranian regime cannot be

allowed to have a nuclear weapon. That has been clear from the beginning of this administration, even before from President Trump,

who has made that very clear from the beginning.

The U.S. military says it's recovered the body of an American soldier who went missing in Morocco

earlier this month. Fox's Grunall. Scott has details.

The remains of Kendrick Lamont Key, a 27-year-old Army First Lieutenant, were located by a

Moroccan military search team. The body was found in Atlantic Ocean Waters. Key was one of two

soldiers reported missing May 2nd during a military exercise. Key enlisted in 2023, earning his

military commission a year later.

The Army has not identified the second soldier who remains missing, saying that a search

and rescue operation will continue.

Both soldiers are believed to have fallen off a cliff during a recreational hike.
