India and Pakistan are now accusing each other of violating a ceasefire deal made hours

earlier Saturday following talks led by the U.S.

President Trump had announced the agreement on his truth social platform.

The deal had been expected to end weeks of growing fighting, including missile and drone strikes,

prompted by the massacre of tourists by gunmen in Kashmir last month.

It's the most serious military confrontation between the rivals in decades, all the more concerning as both countries house nuclear facilities.

The Democratic mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Raz Barkara, was arrested Friday accused of trespassing at a U.S. ICE detention facility.
