The 19 states, along with Washington, D.C., say cuts to HHS are jeopardizing public health. New York Attorney General, Letitia James, said slashes she

equates to a wrecking ball. Fired scientist, closed labs, shuttered life-saving programs.

James said one such entity, the World Trade Center health program is at risk. Retired New York

City firefighter Gary Smiley said people in this program,

who survived one of the most horrific attacks on this country, are now worried that their insurance

is going to go away. HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. says the cuts are to reduce redundancies

and streamline from an annual budget of about $1.7 trillion. Fox is Granal. Scott.

The Department of Education says Harvard University will receive no new federal grants until it meets a series of demands from the administration.

Administration notified Harvard of the move and a letter to its president.

Harvard was such a revered university, but it's not anymore.

Education Secretary Lyndon McMahon on Fox's Cudlow, the administration previously

froze 2.2 billion in federal grants to Harvard.

Harvard's president has previously said

that he would not bend to the government's demands. President Trump has signed an executive order

that bans federal funding for gain of function research in China, Iran, and other countries.

Administration says it's a way to improve safety and security of biological research.
