Let the budget battle begin. I'm Daria Aldinger Fox News. President Trump's big, beautiful budget bill is on Capitol Hill, and it could get some ugly pushback from both sides of the aisle.

President Trump's proposed $1.7 trillion budget promises more than $100 billion in cuts to non-defense federal spending. It increases spending at our border

coupled with cuts to foreign aid. But the president is taking criticism from some Senate Republicans

like Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins, who say the president is not increasing spending

at the Pentagon enough to advance our country's defense and fulfill his peace through strength policy.

Fox is Matt Finn in Florida. The president wants a parade for his 79th birthday in June.

But Bob Bernard of Fox TV affiliate, WTTTTG in Washington, says not just any kind of a parade.

President Trump says he got the idea for a big military-style parade during his first term

when he witnessed a Bastille Day parade in France.

According to the White House, the parade here would recognize all past wars

and include reenactors and equipment from all of our wars,

the revolutionary to the global war on terrorism.

The Associated Press says it's seen planning documents that indicate the parade would consist of more than 6,000 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, and seven marching bands.

The White House says it's coordinating with the Pentagon, Department of Homeland Security, and National Park Service.

A White House official says this is just the first in a series of celebrations of our country's 250th birthday.

A plan for a similar parade was shot down during President Trump's first term due to the cost and the possibility it could damage infrastructure and roadways in

the nation's capital. Australians have re-elected Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to a second

consecutive term. It's the first time that voters down under have done that in two decades.
