A portion of a major northeast highway shut down for days.

Sely Cilisera, Fox News, a tanker truck carrying 8,500 gallons of fuel crashed and caught fire in a three vehicle

collision under a bridge over I-95 in normal all Connecticut all lanes on both

sides of the highway in that area are closed because the heat from the fire damaged the bridge.

Governor Ed Lamont says work crews have to take it down.

If all goes well and monitor this, we should have a two-way commuting back on I-95 as early as Monday morning, which is heroic work.

He says alternate routes are packed up too.

There'll be extra rail service as needed if you want to go into New York or get up to Hartford

depending on where you're going from my recommendation is if you can't stay home

take the train stay away from the cars no one was seriously injured in the

crash and the fuel that spilled was contained in a retention

pond and did not make it into the Norwalk River.

President Biden says students demonstrating on college campuses over the war in Gaza have a right to do

do so, but they don't have a right to cause

chaos. Peaceful protest is in the best tradition of how Americans respond to

consequential issues but but neither are we a lawless country. We are a civil society and order must prevail.

President says vandalism, destroying property, trespassing and threatening people is not a peaceful

protest. The protests at colleges and universities across the country continue at

NYU. They're demanding the university divest from Israel. Arizona, Governor Katie Hobbs signing off on the

repeal of a civil war era ban on abortion. This ban needs to be repealed. I

said it in 2022 when Roe was overturned and I said it again and again as governor.

The repeal may not take effect until 90 days after the legislative session is over in June or July.
