congressman and his wife indicted on conspiracy and bribery charges.

Prosecutors accused Democratic Congressman Henry Koyor and his wife of receiving bribes from an Azerbaijan owned energy company and a Mexican bank.

The Justice Department says the Quayor has accepted nearly $600,000 in exchange for the congressman pushing initiatives

on Capitol Hill and with the executive branch that would favor the bank and Azerbaijan.

The DOJ claims, quote,

the bride payments were allegedly laundered pursuant to sham consulting contracts

through a series of front companies and middlemen

into shell companies owned by Emel de Quayar who performed little to no legitimate work under the contract.

Fox is rich Edson in Washington and a statement Quayar said he and his wife are innocent and he said everything he's done in Congress

has been to serve the people of South Texas. At the conclusion of

testimony in week two of his hush money trial, former President Trump

began complaining about the charges against him.
