The deal is done. I'm Lisa Lucera. Fox News. The Treasury Department says the U.S. and Ukraine have signed a minerals deal.

Establishing an economic partnership in recognition of U.S. support to Ukraine.

The Treasury Department announcing that this is a signal to Russia that the U.S. is committed to a peace that's centered on a free,

sovereign, and prosperous Ukraine. Also saying no state or person who funded the Russian war machine

or supplied it, rather, will be allowed to benefit from Ukraine's reconstruction.

President Trump had wanted access to the minerals as a form of payment for the billions

the U.S. has spent to help Keefe fight Russia.

U.S. trade representative Jameson Greer says trade deals are closed with several countries

after the U.S. imposed tariffs against nearly every trading partner.

We're talking about a matter of weeks and not months to have some initial deals announced.

On Fox's special report with Brett Baer, he says there are a meeting schedule with Japan,

Guyana and Saudi Arabia tomorrow.

In the Philippines on Friday, he says there are no talk scheduled with China at this time.

Kuwait has released more Americans detained on drug

charges and other offenses. The 10 Americans freed include military contractors and veterans. This latest

release by Kuwait brings the total number of Americans pardon to 23 over the past two months.

Kuwait's pardons of the Americans are seen as a goodwill gesture

to the United States, and the oil rich nation is considered to be an ally of the U.S., but it was

reported to not be all goodwill for the detainees. Supporters of one of them say that person

was coerced into signing a false confession and was subject to physical violence.
