Bondi was nominated hours after Gates, a former congressman also from Florida withdrew.

If confirmed, Bondi would lead the Justice Department and set the agenda for federal

investigations and prosecutions.

House Ethics Committee report and a former Congressman Matt Gates should still be made public,

even though Gates is no longer a member of Congress or nominee for Attorney General.

Kasten has introduced legislation to force the Ethics Committee to release the report.

The investigation looks into allegations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use.
