Canada gets singled out.

Well, they have to pay a fair rate. It's all. It's very simple.

And to President Trump, that fair rate is now a 35% tariff on Canadian imports not covered by a trade agreement.

That's up from 25. And it goes into effect today.

They have been charging

very, very high tariffs to our farmers, some over 200%. The president also says Canada's failed

to curb the flow of fentany on other drugs across the border. But Prime Minister Mark Carney in a statement

says Canada accounts for only 1% of fentanyl imports, and they will focus on building Canada strong.

Now, tariffs and imports for dozens of other countries have been pushed back instead of today.

Fox's Madeline Rivera reports they'll take effect next Thursday.

Countries with a surplus of U.S. goods see a 10% tariff, those with a small deficit, see a 15% rate,

and then there's that third bucket of larger deficit countries.

The official saying their rates will be determined by a deal or a letter.

Some of the countries hit hardest include Syria, Laos, Burma, and Switzerland,

which exports pharmaceuticals, luxury watches, and precious metals.

That's Swiss tariff. It will be 39%.

U.S. Special Envoy, Steve Whitkoff,

and Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, are in Gaza visiting an aid distribution site.

After deadly attacks on Palestinians trying to get food and growing concerns about starvation,

and then Whitkoff will go to Russia next. It faces a U.S. deadline next Friday to stop the war in Ukraine

or face new economic sanctions.
