He's the digital lead at the Center on Terrorism, Extremism and Counterterrorism

at the Middlebury Institute. And today he's going to be telling us

about the Bugaloo boys a non-coheasive group of young men who are basically running

around the US protests armed right now calling for

war with the state. They're anti-authoritarian. Some of them are Nazis and

some of them don't really know what they're doing they're just kind of having a laugh

so it's a very interesting situation there's been a lot of misinformation but

we're gonna get down to who they really are.

It's a weird situation, right? You've got all these clashes, the Black Lives Matter, anti-police,

violence, justice for George Floyd protests, whatever you want to call them, kicking off in America.

A lot of the protests are getting violent.

And the reason I was interested in this Bugaloo boy's side of things is because I feel like

the media is honestly being quite disingenuous on both sides.

So it's either the left is saying, oh, all of these Bugaloo boys are actually Nazis,

which I know for a fact is not true or you've got the kind of

right wing pretending like all of the Boogloo boys are angels and none of them

actually are racist which I know is also not true. From my own research there is definitely like a kind of

...
