Surgeon. It's time for a five-minute Friday. And today's episode, we're going to dive

0:22.6

deep into this hot topic of peptides for skin. Peptides. What are peptides and how are they used in

0:30.2

skincare? I know you guys are hearing about biohackers using peptides that they're giving themselves

0:35.3

injections. I know you've heard about the most popular

0:37.9

peptide, semaglutide or ozempic. Peptides are short chains of amino acids. When the amino acid

0:45.8

chain is less than 50 amino acids, we call it a peptide. When it's longer than that,

0:51.1

and this is when these things become proteins. And some of the most powerful molecules

0:55.8

in our body are peptides. For example, insulin is a peptide. It's a glutide as we talked about.

1:01.3

All the weight loss GLP1 drugs are peptides. And I'm a huge fan of peptides. I've been using them in

1:08.1

the office for micrneedling into skin. We use them for

1:11.5

topical treatments to muscle relax. There are peptides that mimic the effect of Botox, and there

1:18.8

are peptides that are synergistic. So peptides come as four different types. There's signaling

1:23.9

peptides, carrier peptides, neurotransmitter inhibitor peptides, and enzyme inhibitor

1:29.7

peptides. And it's really wonderful to think about bringing and leveraging the power of peptides

into skin. I have developed a brand new peptide complex, and for this complex, I've made it

1:43.3

extremely synergistic. one peptide is powerful several

1:47.7

peptides together this is a tripeptide complex extremely powerful for this synergistic complex

1:55.1

i've picked some of the most powerful and effective peptides and let's get into these a little

bit to tell you what it does

2:01.6

to skin at the molecular level. I don't like to make the podcast too advertising or about myself,

2:07.7

but I am just so proud of this peptide complex. It's the KD tripeptide complex. And this is not just
