Now here's Paul Tripp, teaching from John 14.

Now think with me for a minute. Imagine the fear and dread in the hearts of the minds of the disciples as they began to

grasp the fact that Jesus would not be physically with them forever.

I'm really excited about the next several of these little studies from John because John 13 through John 17 records the final moments of

Jesus with his disciples before he faced the cross. They're particularly personal and tender

and loving and there's just nothing like this portion of God's word. We're going to look at

John 14 and I would call the entitled this, good, good promises. Let not your heart be troubled.

Believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house or many rooms, if it were not

so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you,

I will come again and take you to myself that where I am, you may be also. These things I have

spoken to you why I am still with you, but the helper,

the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and will bring

you remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as

the world gives do I give to you. Let not your

heart be troubled. Neither let them be afraid. There are a few more beautiful and comforting
