0:16.0	My topic today is walking in the light. And we can start with 1st John 1st 7.
0:22.6	But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another
0:28.4	and the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sin. What does it mean to walk in the light?
0:36.2	From this verse, we see what the results of walking in the light are. We have fellowship with one
0:41.3	another and Christ cleanses us from all sin. These are two very desirable consequences, aren't they?
0:48.3	So what does it mean to walk in the light? So I'm going to look at a couple of other
0:53.3	scriptures to shed some light on this topic. John 812, then Jesus spoke to them again saying,
1:01.5	I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.
1:08.8	So this means that by following Jesus, we are walking in the light. So he is the light.
1:16.0	And if we're following him, we're not walking in darkness, but we have this light of life.
1:22.4	And remembering that he himself is the light. So unbelievers walk in darkness.
1:29.2	And it's so obvious, isn't it? It's just light and dark, black and white. It's a sharp line of
1:35.4	difference between the light and the darkness. And if we're following Jesus, then by definition,
1:42.8	we're not walking in darkness. And then moving on to Ephesians 5, 8 through 10. For you were once
1:50.0	darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. For the fruit of the
1:56.2	spirit is in all goodness, righteousness and truth, finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
2:03.6	Okay, so notice you were once darkness. You were walking in darkness. You were not following Jesus.
2:10.4	But now you are light in the Lord. You walk. You walk like you are who you are. Your children of
2:18.8	light. So you're walking as though you are children of light. And the fruit of the spirit is in all
2:24.1	goodness, righteousness and truth, finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. It is just so great.
