I grew up in the inner city hating police officers.

That was my circle. That was my environment. That's what the environment that I was raised in and that I chose to stay in at the time told me to do. They train me. Hate the cops. Anytime you see a cop, this is the emotion I want you to feel. I want you to not trust them. I want you to think that they're racist. So that's what I did.

But the moment that I stepped out of that environment and looked back in, I went, hold up. That's not right. Because there are a lot of good police officers out there.
