| 0:30.5 | a little bit and maybe you tend to be obsessive with these kind of things, |
| 0:34.4 | maybe I would recommend skipping this episode and focusing on some non-aesthetic goals for now, |
| 0:39.0 | like improving stress and feeling good and moving your body and maybe improving you know the way |
| 0:45.1 | your joints function and feel. So just a little disclaimer there but I do think that |
| 0:49.4 | there are kind of two ends of the spectrum when it comes to aesthetics in the fitness industry and in the |
| 0:56.1 | wellness industry. There's this side that is aggressive and all about the quick fixes and hammering your body into the ground and |
| 1:05.4 | Prioritizing aesthetics over overall health and then there's the opposite end of the spectrum where if you care about |
| 1:12.4 | ascetics and how you look at all then that's wrong and |
| 1:15.3 | there's something wrong with you. And I think that there's some gray space in between and |
| 1:18.8 | there's a real opportunity for us to yeah care about how we look and have a desire to improve our body |
| 1:25.6 | composition but not do so in a way that is working against our overall health. |
| 1:30.7 | So that said, body composition goals are not on everyone's radar and maybe your goal again |
| 1:36.2 | is to feel better or repair your relationship to exercise in your body and stay strong and improve |
| 1:41.8 | your overall health in which case you may skip this episode. |
