Summary
As you look ahead to Jesus' return at the End of the Age, do you feel anticipation and joy or fear and dread? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the spiritual growth we need to undergo to be prepared for the future. Jesus advises us to be aware of the "birth pains" that will precede His return, and Pastor Allen points out how many of these are present in the world today, including the rise of deception, evil, and lawlessness. He also explains the parable of the wheat and the tares and how good will grow alongside evil—we need to keep our eyes focused on the good and what God is doing. We're guaranteed persecution as this present age comes to a close, but we'll also grow closer to God as we persevere.

You know, somebody wrote wrote and said what about the mark of the beast and we're shut out from the markets and we can't buy food what are we going to do are we going to starve to death and I mean just question after question with a lot of fear and a lot of anxiety and you know we have some kind of big rock answers that we float around Christian well we're to be here for that, so you don't have to worry about it. So I wanted to take a few sessions and unpack with you a little bit of what I understand the scripture to say is ahead of us. In this particular session, I'm going to talk about a conclusion in a beginning. Next session, God willing, we're going to talk about some of the specific events that I think will form the end of the age. |
