| 1:06.7 | primary care and doing intensivist medicine and then you did sleep medicine fellowship and now |

| 1:34.8 | Well, so as an internist, the first 13 years of my practice as an internal medicine doc, I saw that people were really struggling with sleep. |
| 1:38.4 | And it was kind of one of those end of the visit type of concerns. |
| 1:48.2 | And what I realize is that so many people are affected by lack of sleep and it and it's what actually controls all of the other chronic medical conditions. |
| 1:58.5 | And then when I went back and did a fellowship in sleep medicine, I quickly became |
| 2:05.1 | the women's sleep health expert in my part of the country in the Northwest. And I started |
| 2:14.1 | doing a lot of presentations. And then I also really had nothing but women in my practice and started to see this connection |
| 2:24.0 | between hormonal shifts and changes in sleep and just low quality of life because of that. |
| 2:31.7 | So I made it my mission to really focus on women's health and sleep. |
