| 0:08.1 | This is a time for us to lay back, rest, and receive the loving kindness of God. |
| 0:18.1 | And today we're going to do a loving kindness meditation. |
| 0:22.6 | Now the point of a loving kindness meditation is to receive loving kindness in order to |
| 0:29.2 | give it away. |
| 0:31.8 | But you and I both know we can only receive because it's given to us from someone. |
| 0:42.3 | And the only loving kindness that never fails is that which is of God. |
| 0:48.4 | God is loving kindness. |
| 0:51.9 | So in order for us to receive the kindness that we want to give away, we're going to go |
| 0:59.1 | to God first. |
| 1:01.6 | So go ahead and take a moment to situate yourself, place your body in a position that feels comforting, |
| 1:10.1 | yet attentive. |
| 1:11.1 | So whether you lay down or sit in a chair, it's up to you. |
| 1:20.6 | And now begin to breathe so that your belly softly fills with air as it expands and exhale |
| 1:32.4 | as it draws in. |
| 1:37.4 | Inhale and notice the tension on the inhale. |
| 1:44.5 | Inhale and notice the release. |
| 1:52.2 | Inhale, notice the rise of the belly and the heart. |
| 1:59.0 | Exhale, notice the fall. |
| 2:05.4 | Rise and fall. |
| 2:12.2 | Scan your body for any tension, see if you can direct the breath to soften that area |
