So what I want to talk about today is this idea of why we should be celebrating opportunity even when they don't work out and it sounds kind of weird right when something doesn't work out, the typical feeling

is disappointment.

You feel like, oh, well, you know, maybe I wasn't good enough

to make that happen, or maybe I didn't try hard enough or it just fell apart for any number of external reasons.

Maybe we don't even beat up on ourselves, but we do feel just a sense of sadness around it because it didn't work out and we really

wanted it to and I think that that's the natural response but what I think is actually more important for the long term, for our ability to pick ourselves up and keep going to try again, is actually recently because of a conversation with a good friend of mine who's part of my mastermind group.

She recently had this massive, massive opportunity pop up and we're talking about it, we're talking

about how great it would be and it made me think about a moment in my own life when I had a massive opportunity pop up and it not work out and how that felt.

So I'm not going to share her opportunity.

That's not my place, but my own opportunity

was a few years ago when I sort of beginning

of starting this podcast actually had an opportunity to audition for and

potentially host a reality show sort of based around the podcast. So it would have been in the personal development

space, it would have been on TV, like a major channel, and this opportunity just sort of popped up.

It wasn't something I was planning for, it wasn't something I was trying to do but it was there and I was

stoked I was so excited that this was a thing that this this could possibly

happen and I showed up to the audition. It was over a

like a Zoom call. I think it was Skype back then. But yeah I showed up. I did

everything I could. I put my best book foot forward I thought I did a great job and the thing is it's not even that I didn't get it I kind of got

ghosted like I just never heard back at all even after following up multiple times. I never once heard back from the team that I was working with and it crushed me.

Honestly, like I remember feeling so down and frustrated because it wasn't necessarily even something I was pursuing.

That might not have been the right move for me, but it popped up and it became an opportunity,
